Irving Park Luxury neighborhood meets rock solid value in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Welcome to Greensboro Country Club the at the center of Irving Park.  These pictures show just a small part of the golf course that runs through the heart of Irving Park.  Just minutes from downtown Greensboro Irving Park has and is the premier neighborhood in the area.  A mixture of small estates, magnificent homes, and even some modest smaller homes.

I just love the colors this fall on the golf course.  The homes here range anywhere from approximately seven million to as low as five hundred thousand.

So if you want a rock solid value in a prestigious neighborhood WELCOME HOME!

The Kirkwood Neighborhood in Greensboro, NC an old fashioned close knit community

The Kirkwood neighborhood is one of the older established communities within the metro area of Greensboro.  On quiet streets these adorable little homes thrive with young families and older residents that take care of their area with pride.   The residents walk their children and their pets through the quiet streets and stop and talk with their neighbors just like neighborhoods use to be. Recently Walgreens decided to try and put one of their twenty-four hour stores on the outside corner of this thriving neighborhood by way of slipping in because of the cities future use plan for the corridor along Lawndale drive.  The city of Greensboro had put as a future use commercial.  Well Walgreens thought they could then buy up some homesites and then flatten them for their store.  But, they had to deal with the Kirkwood Community.  In an unprecedented move they began a grass roots movement that lead to the city changing it's future use plan for the Kirkwood community along the Lawndale corridor to residential.  As a by product of the movement the community has really come together.  The spirit of Old Kirkwood has arisen.  They now have their own little fourth of July parade and other events!  You can check these out at www.kirkwood.org.  There are approximately 550 homes within this wonderful community and they are making real headway at breathing new life into this peaceful neighborhood.  They have split into blocks and now have board members, community watches, and block parties.  Best of all there are no dues!  These folks have come together for the love of the neighborhood.

The home values here have always remained rock steady and they are bordered by Old Irving Park and New Irving Park on three sides.  So while a average home price in the mid 100K range you can cross the street and have the benefits of solid real estate values of mulit million dollar estates.  Plus just like Irving Park all the shopping you could need at your doorstep.  My wife and I walk our greyhounds through the Kirkwood neighborhood all the time.  With itself peaceful tree lined streets and natural green ways it is just one more great area to raise a family in Greensboro.

Irving Park in Greensboro, NC Where your biggest investment should be your safest.

I live and work in Irving Park here in Greensboro, North Carolina and truly love the feeling and serenity of a well established solid neighborhood.  A peaceful setting nestled around the Greensboro Country Club just minutes from everything.  This is a place where we all walk our dogs, go running, walking, or biking on all then slow paced wide streets and greenways with fantastic homes all around.

When most everyone else has seen some drop in home values we have escaped the turmoil that seems rampant in most major metropolitan areas.  The homes here in Old Irving Park are mostly older homes that stand tall an proud on large well maintained lots.  These homes range from stately manors whose value is in the millions to extremely nice smaller homes as low as in the $200,000 arena.  I have seen the value of these homes hold steady and also increase over the years and do not every see that changing.  Irving Park has the convenience of all the shopping you could need or want.  Not five or so minutes away are The Shoppes at Friendly Center with all new high end shopping has joined forces with the adjoining Friendly Center and well established venues that are already there.   Our favorite movie multiplex is there The Grande and it is by far one of the largest and cleanest in the area.

So where else should you be?  Just like a rock solid blue chip stock shouldn't one of your largest investments by in a home that is just as solid of an investment.  Well, even the New York Times agrees that Irving Park stands alone like so many other premier neighborhoods.

So whether you are buying or selling make sure the agent you pick has a passion for "your neighborhood".  That way you know your investment is safe and in good hands.
