I have run into a number of issues that I have posted on in the past. I know our commission cannot be everywhere all the time but, time after time I hear and experience questionable acts that sometime boogle the mind. We have an agent now in our office that is being threatened and this broker (I use this term loosely with this person) has called and threatened her client and her own. I am basically dumbfounded. Of course we have kicked this one upstairs and if this person keeps their license it would be a miracle. I believe they said that they are counting the violations and they are up to 5. I guess the old saying is true give someone enough rope and they will hang themselves.
I myself ran into a situation with a potential client last week. They had been working with another agent and after five minutes of asking me questions and of me explain NC real estate law and our agency procedures he was on the phone hotter *&% and he wanted to switch agents to me. I never solicated the business and was first to ask if he was working with an agent. He said yes so at that point all I did was answer his questions. That was all it took for him to realize what was going on. He was none to pleased.
At this point I think I would almost welcome the commission to be "Big Brother" and watch over us a little more closely.
